Tadpole Kayak Class
This class is designed for kids ages 6 to 8 years old to be able to learn the very basics of kayaking. We will learn about basic river safety, basics of boat control and basics of paddling! Safety is always of utmost importance in all of the classes offered at 4 Corners, and in our tadpole class we pay special attention to keep the kids comfortable!
Day 1 will begin with a meet and greet with the kids, parents and instructors. We will take this time to learn about other experiences the kids may have had on the river, and to learn about what they want to accomplish in the class. After this, we can get the kids fitted with their boats and gear. Then, we will get in our solar heated pool to learn how to wet exit!
Over the course of the class, we will be able to spend time at the lake learning proper paddling technique, as well as playing games to get more comfortable in our kayaks By the end of the class, we hope kids will understand the basics of kayaking, and have a new found passion for the water! This class includes all gear, transportation and instructors.

Cancellation Policy
The Southwest can have very sudden and unpredictable changes in weather. All classes run rain or shine, unless there are weather related safety concerns. All programs may be changed at our discretion. To keep our classes affordable, we must fill a program with a minimum amount of participants. We reserve the right to cancel the program if the minimum amount of participants is not met. A full refund will be provided if a class is cancelled, and you will be notified no later than 48 hours before the beginning of the class.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your reservation, please do so 48 hours or more before the beginning of the class. Cancellations within 48 hours of the beginning of the program are non- refundable. If you wish to reschedule within 48 hours before the beginning of the program, we can provide a 50% credit towards the rescheduled class.
